I am feeling totally apathetic this week. Anyone else?
This might have something to do with Sunday night, where I spent several hours in a tiny apartment trying to avoid being bitten by a rodent - I mean, ferrett - while four other people smoked weed. I think I got a contact high, which would explain why I was in such a good mood on Monday.
On the bright side, my first salvo to the credit card companies goes into the mail on Saturday. On the downside, I’m not working Thursday (so no tips, hence less money to send to those bastards), but the upside is that I’m not working because my Dad & I are going down to Princess Anne to visit my grandmother. On the downside, she probably won’t know who I am. On the upside, I have a fridge full of beer.
I need to go to Barnes & Noble in Towson tonight after work to get a book or two for the trip. Dad wants to leave like “super early” (read: 6ish) so after work Wednesday I’m driving down to the parents’ place in Columbia so he can wake me at an ungodly time of the day. That’s fine - he’s got the first driving shift, I plan on sleeping until we get to Salisbury.
Saw the first two episodes of SciFi’s “Battlestar Galactica” series, then caught the miniseries over the weekend. Wow. Pretty cool stuff, and Boomer? Hot.
“Two for Tuesday” night at work. This means one thing for sure: it will be busy. What’s not for sure is if it’s going to be “busy bad”, “busy okay”, or “busy good.” Usually it’s “busy bad” which means all the cheap-asses order and my tip average is about $2 at the end of the night. “Busy okay” brings the tip average to about $3.50, which is better, but still lower than average. “Busy good” rarely happens - maybe once every six weeks or so. That’s when I’m lucky enough to take all the deliveries to the people who tip good, well, and great.
My apartment is a total wreck. I usually don’t clean either of the bedrooms, but the kitchen, dining room and living room really need some tender loving care. I did laundry last night and the clean clothes from that, and what I did Sunday morning, are folded on top of the couch and the loveseats, and there are socks atop the TV. All of the junk mail I’ve recieved the last week is on the dining room table and around it. I need to clean, vacuum, and get organized.
Yeah, like that’s going to happen. Also, I need to go and buy more kitty litter since all I have is what’s in the box. Joy.
