Two years ago today I moved into this apartment. It’s weird, because it really doesn’t feel like I’ve lived here for two years. As I enter my third year of living here in Timonium, I reflect that this will be the longest I’ve lived at any one address since I moved out of my parents’ house six years ago.
Two years ago at this time we had one of the wettest springs ever. I think it rained all through April, May, and with the exception of a handful of days in June, continued straight through. I was fortunate enough to move on one of the few sunny days of the month. Borrowed Gary’s big Dodge pickup, asked Sketchy for help, and cleared out my studio apartment in about seven hours. After he’d left I tried to take a shower — whoops, the shower handle was loose and I couldn’t find my screwdrivers. So I returned Gary’s truck and ran errands while stinking really bad.
I still can’t believe I’ve been living here for two years … where oh where has the time gone?
Here’s looking forward to year number three, and maybe even getting myself out of debt.
I stumbled across this program the other day, completely by accident, which allows you to construct your own version of Kirk’s bridge from the Starship Enterprise. It’s a good way to waste an afternoon …

Memo to: Alannis Morisette
A black fly in your chardonnay is not ironic. However, take note, for this is ironic:
A police officer responding to an emergency call of a man struck by a car accidentally ran over the victim with his cruiser Thursday, authorities said.
Whooops.
