ABC 2 News
… has for some reason, two trucks at the corner of Cranbrook & Padonia, which is also the location of my apartment complex. I wonder if this has something to do with the hell-load of police and fire trucks at the intersection yesterday. Anyone who watches the local news — I’ll be at work — mind giving me a head’s up?

… and speaking of …
The SyFy Portal is reporting that the sci-fi channel has picked up BSG for a third season.
BSG DVD & Netflix
The Digital Bits has mostly good things to say about the upcoming DVD release of Battlestar Galactica’s first season.
Add in the very nice picture and sound quality, and this is a damn good DVD presentation of Battlestar’s first season. If you’ve enjoyed this show on SciFi, you’ll love it even more on disc. And if you haven’t checked it out yet, this is the perfect way to do so. Ron Moore’s re-imagined Battlestar Galactica has made a believer out of me. It’s breathed new life into the TV sci-fi genre. Better yet, at long last it’s that rare science fiction show that even people who hate science fiction can enjoy (and when was the last time you saw one of those?). Color me surprised, but Battlestar Galactica is must-see television.
… and a quick note: although this five-disc box set includes all thirteen episodes of the show’s first season as well as the three-hour miniseries, Netflix isn’t including the miniseries disc with their “add-all” feature, so if you’re gearing yourself up for an introduction to the best new show on basic cable, make sure you’ve got “Battlestar Galactica: the Miniseries” on your queue as well.
