I had a taco salad for lunch today.
This is notable because this is the first time in, oh, forever, that I haven’t ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries while eating out.
Surprisingly — or perhaps not so much — the taco salad was really good, although I suspect it ate up most of my “points” for the day. I haven’t had much of an opportunity to review the Weight Watcher’s info my “conspirator” managed to sneak to me, but in addition to the taco salad I’ve eaten a pretzel and a strawberry yogurt (with cheerios added).
I know I’m not supposed to eat after 7pm, but my work schedule rarely permits an actual “dinner” (unless I want it at four), and working at night tends to make me a bit hungry. My dinner: a rice cake, a pickle, and a handful of baby carrots. Strangely, this isn’t quite as unappetizing as it sounds.
My new — and, uh, first & only — scale arrived yesterday via UPS. As of yesterday my weight came in at a whopping 248 lbs. I’m going to be weighing myself once per week — Tuesdays I’m thinkin’, since that’s when I first weighed myself — and setting appropriate goals for the coming seven days.
Yesterday I did 20 jumping jacks. Today, I did thirty. By Monday, I’d like to be doing a hundred. I’d also like to start walking a few times per week — nothing major, laps around the apartment complex.
The last time I dieted — “officially” with Weight Watchers was a few years ago. I stuck with it pretty regular until I fell off my dieting wagon.
Let’s see how well I do this time.
