Now that 2005 has disappeared faster than an Xbox 360 on eBay
2005 didn’t disappear that fast! 2005 was here for a whole year, dumbass! Three-hundred and sixty-four days! Fifty-two weeks! Twelve months! A year, motherfucker!

My favorite photo of Hogwarts so far. Can you see how tall it is? Well, let me tell you, it’s pretty goddamn tall is how tall it is.
See? Tall!
Neckbone came by this morning to retrieve his house key, I’d house-sat for the evening New Year’s Eve to make sure his beloved pup didn’t soil his beloved rug. As soon as he walked in the door, Tippy — aka, “Penis” — began crying and shortly emerged from under the couch, walked right up to me, and let me pick her up without complaint.
Not surprisingly, I was not the focus of her attention. No, she made quite clear in body language that she has amorous affections towards a person who hates felines and was, at the moment, looking around my apartment asking, “Where is that infernal howling coming from?” He made an effort, taking Tippy in his arms. At first she was a little, ah, “standoffish” (literally) but rapidly warmed to him — she even purred (a little).
Ice Queenie, I think you’ve got competition.
Man, now I want a Jeep again.
Common Wombat and his wife Sally came over last night after I got off work and we quickly became involved in a board-game war for Risk-ified Europe. Somehow, holding on to East Europe, I was able to hold firm, repel invasion, and expand into Asia Minor, Germania, and Britannica, while reaping large amounts of armies. I was a little perturbed when Wombat’s Gods of War wrecked havoc against my Celtic Tribes, but a little magic here, and a little there, demonstrated why Risk: Godstorm was worth the investment six months ago (even if this was the first time I had a chance to play it).
(Heck, I bought Risk 2210AD five years ago and neva’ played it).
Tonight was a good reminder of why Risk is so much — and also, why it’s so much funner when more people play it. Risk with six people is great (Godstorm, unfortunatly, tops off at a whopping five players).
Ass Alex: Thank You.
Even though I didn’t want to cover your shift last night, I’m glad I did. See, Friday night sucked ass — heck, I worked Friday day, so Friday all-day sucked ass. I took singles all day, and everyone stiffed. My tip average was shitty, even though one person tipped $11 (he was rich), everybody else I got was in full-blown cheap-ass mode.
Then came Saturday. I worked day at the Indy and it was pretty nice — nothing spectacular, but folks treated me okay. Then came night. I went in early and I took five back-to-back triple deliveries, and ended with a double. Seventeen runs, I left with over eighty-bucks (an average of just under five-smackers per house, including mileage) in under four hours of work. Not bad.
Thank you, Ass Alex. Thank you for being an ass and making other people work your shifts. Because the way my math works, you would’ve made $80 if you’d done your effin’ job. But you didn’t.
So. Thank you!
