Yesterday’s Eatings:
My lunch:
Two Buffalo Wings: 6 points.
Four 20-oz diet cokes: 0 points.
Total Lunch: 6 points.
My Dinner:
The main course consisted of —
Two slices of white bread: 4 points.
A light application of low-fat mayo: 1 point.
Two slices of low-fat ham: .5 points.
One slice American cheese: 2 points.
Liberal dose of mustard** & lettuce: 0 point.
(The sandwich was good, a variation on the ones I made when I wasn’t dieting, which was: more mayo, no lettuce, no “fat free” anything, more cheese. I’m also acquiring a taste for mustard I didn’t have before … well, to the degree I do now).
And sides —
Two pickles: 0 points.
Three servings of Baked Doritos: 6
(Baked Doritos! Who’d'a thunk? And truthfully, eh, they’re not that bad!)
And a dessert —
One cup, plain yogurt with 1/3rd a cup of cheerios mixed in: 3 points.
(I really like this both as a dessert and a breakfast. I do miss a big bowl of mint choco chip, however).
And of course, to drink —
One bottle, water: 0 points.
Total Dinner: 16.5 points.
Grand Total for the Day: 22.5 points.
By my estimation, I’ve consumed just over 20 points yesterday, which is = good as my point limit is 28. I’m still not confident that I’m correctly accounting for points … could I really drink twenty 20-oz diet cokes and accumulate zero points? I’m going to have to look through my “rule book” more closely but I’m certain there’s an amount of servings for sodas and pickles (etc.) that I should be paying more attention to.
(I also had a pretzel before bed — two points.)
* Regular, un-fat-free mayo, is 1 point per tablespoon.
** Well, compared to the mayo, anyway.
