As I mentioned months ago, Lego is preparing to launch a new “Batman” line this spring. They made a big-ass statue to help promote the upcoming line, and a website which taunts but offers no information what-so-ever.

Then, browsing Brickshelf, I found this image of a Batmobile and what appears to be Two-Face flying through the air. Neat!

Weight Two: I GAINED TEN POUNDS?!?!?!

Filed under: Uncategorized — MalSnay @ 9:58 am

Two Hundred and Thirty-Eight.

Pounds. This morning. That I weigh. A reduction of a whopping ten pounds from last Tuesday.

Yeah, I know — title lied. I’m mean like that, taking my lessons from ACW.

So the diet continues.

I missed my resolution for the week — I am not doing 100 jumping jacks a day. I’m up to fifty, and I missed doing them altogether on Saturday.

Grocery shopping Sunday night I noticed I was very concious of the nutrition facts on food packaging. Although I didn’t take a shopping list, I got most of what I was looking for, forgetting to buy low-fat nutrition bars (for when I need to eat at work) and eggs (two eggs, scrambled, are two points, with a quarter cup of ketchup for a total of three points and a nice tasty breakfast). I also have a 28-pack of bottled water in my car’s trunk since Saturday morning. (Speaking of which, I’m out of cat litter, need to go to PetCo today). I also have the remanants of a second case of water in my fridge (that one I wasn’t too lazy to drag out of my trunk). I’m drinking a lot of water. I think the next time I go to Target, I just should just buy five or twenty cases of water and spare myself the repeated trips.

I have not had a chance to do any walking. Excuses, I know, but the work schedule has been so hectic since Christmas there’s been no time for, well, anything. Bullshit excuse. I don’t have to walk three hours a day, heck, I can take ten minutes and walk down Padonia Road and back.

The biggest problem for me is prior to bedtime. I’m not supposed to eat three hours before I go to bed. Two problems: a.) I don’t have a set “bedtime”, and b.) I usually ate right before bed, after a long day of work. I think my body is having ‘withdrawl’ from such a late meal. I can usually satiate my hunger with a yogurt or a pretzel, but sometimes the cravings are just absolutely painful. I’m going to try to keep a 1am bedtime all regular-like. This still presents a challenge in that many nights I’m at work until at least 10pm, and sometimes later. I need to start having a lunner (as opposed to a brunch) around 4:30, then munch on a nutrition bar at work if I get hungry.

I found two good websites to help with determining a food’s point value. The first is Dotti’s Weight Loss Zone which has an incredible guide to national chains and the point values assigned to the various foods per serving. (Thanks for the head’s up, Elsie!)

Also, thanks to Elsie: the second website is Weight Watchers’ Point Calculator, which allows you to determine the point values of the food in your freezer. I don’t quite understand exactly how this works — like, when it says “fat” do they want TOTAL FAT or FAT FROM CALORIES, and does the fact that fat is usually listed, for example, “5g”, require some sort of conversion? Frustratin’!

Resolutions for next week:

* Get more sharp on the points system.

* Do 50 jumping jacks, consistently, every day. In the AM, maybe.

* Walk. At least twice. Around the apartment complex, or down the street, or somewhere.

* At least four nights, have no food after 10pm.
