USA Today’s headline read: “Study: Prison rape is rare.” The tag read: “Judge calls the finding ‘asinine.’”

Priceless.

Today is my first day off since December 26th.

Although I have plans for lunch, the rest of my day will be taken up by:

* Exercising
* Cleaning my Apartment (I so failed that resolution)
* Laundry
* Finishing Hogwarts
* Reading Post Captain to completion and beginning the next book in the series (HMS Surprise)
* Lounging around in boxer shorts watching the boob-tube

Two hundred and thirty-five pounds.

A drop of three pounds since last Tuesday, and a total of thirteen since I first weighed myself. A success, maybe, but not on any particular effort on my part:

Last week was horrible, and I’ll admit that I’m surprised I lost weight. I rarely did any exercise — Saturday and Sunday nights, my relief either came in late or called out which forced me to remain at the respective store (this happened at both places) far later than I expected. Since I generally don’t eat breakfast, I was forced — forced, I say — to eat delicious slices of very greasy pizza to keep my stomach satisfied.

I’m going to the grocery store today, I’m buying a box of low-fat nutrition bars, and I’m stuffing them in my glovebox. I should’ve done that last week.

This week will be better.

Is today Tuesday? It feels like Monday.
