… and your call will be answered in the order in which it was recieved

Wanting to verify that my insurance payments allowed me a summer holiday, I called my insurance company and spoke to someone in the billing department, where I learned that I have no summer holiday and a payment was listed as being withdrawn on June 1st.

Huh?

So I called my bank, where both the person I spoke with and my online statement verified that no automatic withdrawl had been taken from my checking account. So, uh, do I still have insurance or not?

And back on the phone with the insurance company, they’re showing the payment has gone through, and telling me if I don’t see the withdrawl tomorrow to call ‘em back.

JUST TAKE MY DAMN MONEY ALREADY! ME NEED INSURANCE!

*UPDATE*

Okay. It posted this morning and was dated yesterday. G’stuff.

No Insurance Payments?

I was worried because my monthly-installment payment to my auto insurance company hadn’t posted to my checking account this month (its an automatic withdrawl). It usually posts on the 2nd of the month, but when that day falls on a weekend, the withdrawl posts before or after the weekend (but always between the first and the third, and I can never remember it posting later than the third). Given that both the first and the second of this month were during the week, I started to panic — where was the withdrawl? Was I about to recieve a notice that my car insurance has been cancelled? (Let me tell you, that would suck).

Then I remembered that last year I only made payments nine months out of the year, with a break during the summer. I figured that wouldn’t happen this year because I didn’t make the same large payment at the start of the year that I did the previous. But … what if?

Anyway, I’m going to call the insurance company first thing to verify either that I’m clear of payments until the next fiscal year starts (in September), or that I need to get some new car insurance right quickly.
