I’m not a fan of the Humvee line of cars — big, boxy, and taking design cues from Jeep, they’re a sign of everything that’s wrong with America. However, I am a fan of the new H2 commercial finding its way onto the airwaves. I wasn’t able to find it on YouTube (yet), but you’ll know it by those familiar tones from Alexander Courage’s classic theme. So, kudos to Hummer for a brilliant TV commercial (falling snow at night in stead of stars in space). I’ll sit through your commercial — but I still won’t buy your product.
(Even if I had the money to buy your product with, which I don’t, so, y’know.)
The Red Planet is a symbol of the blood of Christ, which represents the substitutionary Spiritual death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. The blood of animal sacrifices foreshadowed the Cross (Hebrews 9:12-14). The color of the Red Planet is a reminder of blood of Christ, which is the single most important event in history after the re-Creation during the Appeal Trial of Satan. The Red Planet is a reminder to man and angels of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for mankind.
The name, Mars, came from Satan. It refers to Satan as the god of war, who was defeated when Jesus Christ paid for the sins of the world on the Cross. The name, Mars, is blasphemy. The Romans, who were hoodwinked by the devil, named the planet; and scientists, who are no smarter, have continued the deception. This is just another lie of Satan, the master of deceit, in an attempt to hide the truth of the Cross.
The Red Planet has two sides, front and back. The two sides represent the front and back of Jesus Christ on the Cross. The front represents acceptance and the back represents rejection. Salvation is a matter of personal choice. The planet is pock marked with craters and volcanoes, which represent wounds of the Lord Jesus Christ who was battered, bruised, punctured with nails and thorns, and stabbed with a spear.
According to Penny Stock, JK Rowling has revealed the title of the final book in the Harry Potter series. I couldn’t quite figure out how to navigate Rowling’s site to find that information, so I’m just taking Penny’s word for it. Motivation to repair Hogwarts? I think so.
Rowling’s U.S. publisher, Scholastic Inc., released a brief statement Thursday announcing the name of the world’s most anticipated children’s book, the finale to her phenomenally popular fantasy series.
No publication date or other details were offered. Rowling is still working on the book, she explained on her Web site in an entry posted early Thursday.
“I’m now writing scenes that have been planned, in some cases, for a dozen years or even more,” she wrote. “I don’t think anyone who has not been in a similar situation can possibly know how this feels: I am alternately elated and overwrought. I both want, and don’t want, to finish this book (don’t worry, I will.)”
Rowling said she has been asked for years if she ever dreams she is in the boy wizard’s world.
“The answer was ‘no’ until a few nights ago, when I had an epic dream in which I was, simultaneously, Harry and the narrator,” she wrote.
“Perhaps I should cut back on the caffeine?” she joked.
