Which is the best way I can figure to describe the trailer for Michael Apted’s new flick, Amazing Grace. As an additional note, it’s nice to see Ioan Gruffud, who I came to know as an actor through his role in the not-always-book-accurate Horatio Hornblower series (aired here in the US on A&E), getting a role in a serious film about a serious subject. He’s too good an actor for shit like The Craptastic Four, and I hope very much to see Amazing Grace on the silver screen.
Also, if you haven’t seen Michael Apted’s documentary series Up!, you should take the time.
Yesterday was a decent lunch and a very slow rest of the day. The theory was that everyone who was snowed in Wednesday went out to celebrate Valentine’s Day Friday night. I hope, at any rate, that the wait staffs at restaraunts made bookoo bucks, and hopefully everyone who spent all night humping like bunny rabbits will want to order pizza today. The worst news about the storm Wednesday night? Sheila Dixon, mayor of Baltimore, has extended the worst holiday ever to the entire weekend.
Are you fucking kidding me? As if suffering through one day a year isn’t bad enough, now I’ve got to suffer through the whole fucking weekend. I hope this doesn’t catch on.
