I’m Not Feeling So Serene About Serenity At The Moment

Firefly was one of the most original and compelling science-fiction television series in recent memory: a show about the rag-tag crew of a battered old freighter trying to eke out a living (often illegally) in the wastes between the stars. The show was canceled by Fox — because Fox seems to have a problem nurturing well-written TV shows into hits — and resurrected for an excellent film: Serenity .

Surprise, surprise: Universal is looking to hit the fans of the show and the film for some more cash. (more…)
