Last Tuesday, my History of the English Language class went to Cook Library and recorded a session online. I guess. All I know is, I had to sign a waiver. Today, that class is online — the subject was “slang”, and while the editing and lighting is awful (Dr. D complained about it at the start of today’s class), the subject matter is, I think, interesting. Didja know ‘conundrum’ used to be slang?
Anyway …
So if you sit through all that, I’m the guy asking the question about the coexistance of slang and rhetoric in the workplace.
Also, I think I’m suffering from mild heatstroke.
