My cell phone didn’t die — it still works, erm, well, not in my apartment — but the screen is blank now. Anyone have
a.) advice on how to persuade AT&T to let me out of my contract without charging me an arm and a leg?
b.) an old cell phone lying around that I can borrow until the end of my contract? All I gotsa do is pop my sim card in …

Snay - I happen to have a perfectly good PDA cell phone I’m not using now that my new job is paying for my Crackberry. Just needs a new battery. You can have all my old adapters and chargers too.

I have a Motorola v360… but its on the Rogers network and I don’t know if that would work with AT&T…

I have an old one that I stopped using a couple of months ago. It’s a Cingular/AT&T one. Battery doesn’t last all that long, but I was just going to donate it to the battered women’s phone drive…. I can donate it to you first.

I have a Samsung SGH-C417 that you can have, no strings. The battery is dead currently but is fine. You’d have to locate a charger for it, but it was previously a Cingular handset.
