Several months ago, I lent a friend of mine my DVDs of “Firefly”, a short lived but fun sci-fi show from Joss Whedon.
Well, I never expected him to keep them this long. That’s all fine and good, but there does come a time when property needs to be returned. In this case, I have a growing hankering to re-watch the episodes. Herein lies the problem: all of my attempts to persuade my friend to return the DVD have failed.
So far, we’ve set up four different times to meet. I’ve invited him over to watch a movie, y’know, whatever. “Yeah, bring back Firefly, I’ve really got an urge to watch it again.” Well, each time, *something* comes up at the last minute and, darnit, he just can’t make it.
Y’know what? I don’t care what comes up. Tell them, “Sorry, really got to return these”, and get them back to me. I really feel like you’re trying to just horde my discs and hope I eventually forget about ’em, and it is REALLY starting to piss me off, especially since I have to clear out room in my extremely busy schedule to meet up with you, and then you just decide to never show up.
