a reasonable doubt

I have a reasonable doubt. And that reasonable doubt is that a young man walking to his father’s home, carrying Skittles and an iced tea, who has dope in his system, is not going to throw an older, stronger, adult male to the ground and crack his head into the sidewalk unless that same young man is under fear of his life from the same adult male, an adult male who had previously assaulted both his wife and a police officer. I believe self-defense laws are a good and a just thing, but I also believe that before escalating to lethal force an individual must attempt to retreat and defuse a situation. Stand Your Ground laws are a get out of jail card for murderers.
